THE UAA VOLLEYBALL TEAM SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THEIR FINAL REGULAR-SEASON ROAD TRIP, DEFEATING SIMON FRASER 3 SETS TO ONE IN BURNABY, BRITISH COLOMBIA. SOPHOMORE EVE STEPHENS RETURNED TO THE UAA LINEUP AFTER A TWO-MATCH ABSENCE, AND DELIVERED 22 KILLS, AND SOPHOMORE ELLEN FLOYD HAD A BIG MATCH WILL 48 ASSISTS, 15 DIGS, FIVE KILLS AND FIVE BLOCKS. UAA RETURNS HOME FOR THE FINAL TWO REGULAR-SEASON MATCHES, THURSDAY AGAINST ST. MARTINS AND SATURDAY AGAINST SEATTLE PACIFIC.

 

AT THE ASAA-FIRST NATIONAL BANK STATE VOLLEYBALL TOURNAMENT, SOUTH AND HOMER CAPTURED TEAM TITLES. THE WOLVERINES KNOCKED OFF BARTLETT TO WIN CLASS 4-A, WHILE THE MARINERS DROPPED KENAI CENTRAL FOR THE 3-A TITLE.

 

UAA MEN’S BASKETBALL WON A PAIR OF ROAD GAMES ON THE WEEKEND. JACK MCDONALD SCORED 20 POINTS AS UAA DOWNED SAN FRANCISCO STATE 81-69 FRIDAY, THEN SATURDAY, THE SEAWOLVES GOT 15 POINTS FROM NIKO BEVANS IN AN 81-69 VICTORY OVER HOST SONOMA STATE.

 

UAA HOCKEY DROPPED A PAIR OF HOME GAMES TO BOWLING GREEN. FRIDAY, FRESHMAN NICK WICKS SCORED A GOAL, BUT THE FALCONS SCORED THREE OF THEIR OWN FOR THE WIN. SATURDAY, BOWLING GREEN GOALTENDER ERIC DOP MADE 29 SAVES TO SHUT OUT THE SEAWOLVES IN A 3-0 WIN. UAA TRAVELS TO MINNESOTA STATE-MANKATO FOR A PAIR OF WCHA GAMES THIS COMING WEEKEND.
