THE ASAA/FIRST NATIONAL BANK STATE FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS GET UNDERWAY TONIGHT WITH QUARTERFINAL ACTION IN DIVISION ONE. SOUTH ANCHORAGE PLAYS AT COLONY AND WASILLA VISITS WEST ANCHORAGE. BOTH GAMES BEGIN AT 7PM. TOMORROW IN DIVISION ONE, SERVICE IS AT BARTLETT AND CHUGIAK IS AT NUMBER ONE SEED EAST. BOTH GAMES AT 2PM.

DIVISION TWO FOOTBALL IS AT PALMER HIGH SCHOOL. THE HOME-TEAM MOOSE TAKE ON TOP-SEEDED SOLDOTNA AT 1PM, THEN AT 4 IT’S EAGLE RIVER AND LATHROP.

UAA VOLLEYBALL KNOCKED OFF ST. MARTIN’S LAST NIGHT IN LACEY. FRESHMAN MIDDLE BLOCKER EVE STEPHENS POUNDED 15 KILLS AND FRESHMAN SETTER ELLEN FLOYD DISHED OUT 29 ASSISTS TO LEAD THE SEAWOLVES TO A 3-1 WIN. UAA NOW HEADS TO SEATTLE FOR A MATCH TOMORROW NIGHT AT SEATTLE PACIFIC.

 

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL TOMORROW HAS SOUTH AT SERVICE AT 7:15PM.

 

THE STATE HIGH SCHOOL TENNIS TOURNAMENT GETS UNDERWAY TOMORROW AT 8AM AT THE ALASKA CLUB EAST.
