THE SOUTH WOLVERINES FINISHED THE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SEASON IN STYLE FRIDAY, DOWNING THE SERVICE COUGARS 27-13 TO CLAIM THE ASAA-FIRST NATIONAL BANK CHAMPIONSHIP AT THE ANCHORAGE FOOTBALL STADIUM. STOUT DEFENSE THAT FORCED TURNOVERS AND AN OPPORTUNISTIC OFFENSE BUOYED THE WOLVERINES, WHO CAPTURED THEIR FIRST STATE TITLE SINCE 2014 AND THEIR FOURTH OVERALL SINCE THE SCHOOL OPENED IN 2004. SOUTH FINISHED THE SEASON AT 7-4. THE COUGARS BOWED OUT AT 8-3.
