State basketball tournaments continue in the Valley; UAA Volleyball plays at home

THE CLASS 4-A UNDEFEATEDS REMAINED SO AFTER DAY TWO OF THE ASAA-FIRST NATIONAL BANK STATE 3 AND 4-A BASKETBALL TOURNAMENTS IN THE VALLEY.

THE EAST BOYS ARE 16-0 AFTER KNOCKING OFF WEST VALLEY, WHILE THE BARTLETT GIRLS WENT TO 16-0 AFTER BEATING KETCHIKAN. EAST WILL PLAY CHUGIAK FOR THE BOYS 4-A CHAMPIONSHIP, WHILE BARTLETT TAKES ON LATHROP IN GIRLS 4-A.

ON THE CLASS 3-A SIDE, THE BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP GAME HAS ACS AGAINST MONROE, WHILE THE GIRLS 3-A CHAMPIONSHIP HAS ACS AGAINST SITKA.

ALL GAMES SATURDAY ARE AT PALMER HIGH SCHOOL.

 

UAA VOLLEYBALL RETURNED TO CAMPUS FOR THE ONLY TWO HOME MATCHES OF THE SPRING SEASON AGAINST FAIRBANKS AT THE SEAWOLF SPORTS COMPLEX. FRIDAY NIGHT THE SEAWOLVES DEFEATED THE NANOOKS 3-0. THE SECOND MATCH IS EARLY SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE PUBLIC WILL NOT BE ALLOWED INTO THE BUILDING. THE MATCH IS AVAILABLE ONLINE.
