THE ARCTIC SEAHAWKS EARNED A SPOT IN THE ALASKA FOOTBALL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME WITH A 25-18 OVERTIME WIN OVER THE VALLEY STEELERS YESTERDAY. THE SEAHAWKS WILL PLAY THE WINNER OF THURSDAY’S GAME BETWEEN THE ANCHORAGE COWBOYS AND THE EAGLE RIVER BRONCOS.

 

UAA CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER WESLEY KIRUI FINISHED IN SECOND PLACE IN THE NCAA PRE-NATIONALS INVITATIONAL SATURDAY. TEAMMATE FELIX KEMBOI WAS FOURTH.

THE SOUTH GIRLS AND THE DIMOND BOYS WERE WINNERS AT THE COOK INLET CONFERENCE CROSS COUNTRY MEET SATURDAY AT BARTLETT.

WINNERS SATURDAY AT THE OCTOBERFEST 5 AND 10K RACES WERE MANDY VINCENT-LANG AND WESLEY MCQUILLEN IN THE 10K, AND KAMIE MILLER AND RYAN OLBERDING IN THE 5K.
