The new guy in town…UAA Athletic Director Greg Myford

UAA Athletic Director Greg Myford

He’s a guy with an impressive resume, here to help steer the UAA Athletic Department through some challenging financial times. Greg Myford was introduced to the media and UAA staffers Tuesday, and you couldn’t help but be impressed by the message. Saying he wanted to be where education, high-level performance and leadership intersects, Myford takes the helm from interim AD Tim McDiffett, who took over when former AD Keith Hackett resigned in June of 2017.

Myford said the financial challenges that UAA is dealing with is not unique to this university, but to many colleges across the nation. He said he’s ready for that challenge.

He also said clear communication will be a hallmark of his administration.

Welcome, Greg!
