UAF beat UAA…in volleyball…Tuesday night. That’s right, it happened. Not since 2010 in Anchorage, not since 2008 in Fairbanks have the Nanooks tasted victory in the series. It happened Tuesday as the red-hot ‘Nooks took advantage of a slow UAA start and took the visitors down in a sweep…25-22, 25-11, 25-22.

From UAA Sports Information:

“We got off to another slow start and it really came back to cost us tonight,” said UAA head coach Chris Green. “It’s very hard right now to find anything positive about our performance, but we’ll try to use it as a learning experience and get refocused on the type of volleyball we should be playing.”

UAA will try to get back to the win column this Saturday, hosting Montana State-Billings at 7 at the Alaska Airlines Center.
