It took a little extra time, but the UAA hockey team finally busted out of their winless streak with a 2-1 overtime win at Bemidji State Saturday. The Seawolves had gone 13 games without a win prior to Saturday’s contest. Senior Jeremiah Luedtke scored with just 99 seconds to go in the extra five minutes. After Bemidji had taken a 1-0 first period lead. UAA defenseman David Trinkberger tied the game with an unassisted goal early in the second period. UAA is now 2-13-1 overall, 1-10-1 in WCHA play. The Seawolves are off until December 29 when they play a non-conference series at former WCHA foe Nebraska-Omaha.
