UAA Hockey on the road…again. Hoops cooling heels…

THE UAA HOCKEY TEAM IS IN OMAHA, NEBRASKA, GETTING READY FOR A PAIR OF NON-CONFERENCE GAMES SATURDAY AND MONDAY AGAINST THE MAVERICKS. NEBRASKA-OMAHA, FOR A SHORT TIME, WAS A MEMBER OF THE OLD WCHA BEFORE THE NATIONAL HOCKEY CONFERENCE WAS FORMED. NEBRASKA-OMAHA IS CURRENTLY IN SEVENTH PLACE IN THE 8-TEAM NCHC, 2-5-1-1 IN CONFERENCE PLAY AND 4-10-2 OVERALL. UAA COMES INTO THE CONTEST IN 10TH PLACE IN THE WCHA AT 1-10-1 IN LEAGUE PLAY, 2-13-1 OVERALL. THE SEAWOLVES WON THEIR LAST GAME BEFORE CHRISTMAS, A 2-1 OVERTIME VERDICT AT BEMIDJI STATE.

UAA RETURNS TO THE SULLIVAN ARENA ICE JANUARY 4, KICKING OFF A HOMESTAND WITH LAKE SUPERIOR STATE.

SEAWOLF BASKETBALL TEAMS ARE OFF UNTIL JANUARY 3RD WHEN THE WOMEN HOST SIMON FRASER IN GREAT NORTHWEST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE ACTION AND THE MEN ARE AT HOME AGAINST WESTERN OREGON, ALSO IN THE GNAC. UAA GYMNASTICS WILL HOST ILLINOIS STATE ON JANUARY 4TH.
