UAA skiers take to the slopes in Colorado

AFTER A SUCCESSFUL FUNDRAISING EFFORT TO KEEP THE PROGRAM ALIVE, THE UAA SKIERS TOOK TO THE HILLS SUNDAY FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS SEASON IN ASPEN FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF DENVER INVITATIONAL.

DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS, THE DAY FEATURED WOMEN ONLY IN TWO SEPARATE GIANT SLALOM RACES.

AS A TEAM, THE SEAWOLVES SIT IN FOURTH PLACE, BEHIND FIRST-PLACE WESTMINSTER, THEN MONTANA STATE AND UTAH.

LEADING THE WAY INDIVIDUALLY FOR UAA WAS GEORGIA BURGESS WHO FINISHED IN FOURTH PLACE IN THE FIRST RACE, AND WAS SIXTH OVERALL.

REBECCA FIEGEL HAD A FOURTH-PLACE FINISH IN THE SECOND RACE, AND SITS JUST BEHIND BURGESS IN THE OVERALL STANDINGS.

OTHER RACERS FOR UAA INCLUDED LI DJURSTALL IN 12 PLACE, CHLOE MARGUE IN 14TH AND NICOLE MAH IN 17TH.
