TOUGH NIGHT AT THE ALASKA AIRLINES CENTER FOR UAA VOLLEYBALL AS THE VISITING CLAN FROM SIMON FRASER FORCED FIVE SETS AND CAME AWAY WITH A 3-2 WIN OVER THE SEAWOLVES. THE LOSS STOPPED UAA’S 5 MATCH WINNING STREAK. KAYLA MC GLATHERY HAD A CAREER-HIGH 17 KILLS, BUT UAA COACH CHRIS GREEN SAID HIS TEAM LOST FOCUS AT KEY POINTS OF THE MATCH. UAA WILL RE-FOCUS NOW AND GET READY FOR A SHOWDOWN TOMORROW NIGHT WITH NUMBER 2 RANKED AND UNDEFEATED WESTERN WASHINGTON AT THE AAC. FIRST SERVE IS 7:00.

THE ASAA-FIRST NATIONAL BANK STATE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS CONTINUE TONIGHT WITH TWO LARGE SCHOOLS SEMI-FINAL GAMES. THE COLONY KNIGHTS, AFTER DEFEATING NUMBER ONE RANKED EAST, WILL LOOK TO DO IT AGAIN AT SERVICE TONIGHT AGAINST THE COUGARS. AND OVER AT WEST, THE SOUTH WOLVERINES COME CALLING ON THE EAGLES. BOTH GAMES KICK OFF AT 7PM.

TOMORROW, THE SMALL SCHOOLS WILL PLAY THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES. AT 12 NOON AT ANCHORAGE FOOTBALL STADIUM, THE DIVISION 3 BARROW WHALERS AND UNDEFEATED HOUSTON HAWKS COLLIDE, FOLLOWED AT 4:00 BY THE DIVISION 2 CONTEST PITTING THE DEFENDING CHAMPION SOLDOTNA STARS AGAINST LATHROP.
