It was the first home loss this season for the Seawolves as they dropped a 5 set match against Central Washington Saturday night at the Alaska Airlines Center. The final scores were 25-21, 25-20, 23-25, 22-25, 15-9. Vanessa Boyer powered the UAA comeback with a career-high 15 kills, and also got 11 kills and three block assists from senior Tara Melton. The Seawolves conclude a three-match homestand tomorrow night against rival Alaska Fairbanks at 7pm at the Alaska Airlines Center.

The Service Cougars were celebrating homecoming…the South Wolverines were in a spoilers mindset in the brilliant sunshine Saturday on the Hillside. In the end, the Wolverines had the big play that made the difference in a 49-45 victory at Service. Jayden Hartwell-McKoy caught a 22 yard touchdown pass from Spencer Martin with 8 seconds to go. It was the sixth lead change in the game’s final 18 minutes. That was a fun one for sure.
