UAA Volleyball suffers defeat at rival UAF Tuesday

FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2008, UAA VOLLEYBALL HAS LOST CONSECUTIVE MATCHES AGAINST RIVAL FAIRBANKS. SEAWOLVES SOPHOMORE EVE STEPHENS HAD 17 KILLS, BUT THE NANOOKS DEFENDED THEIR HOME COURT WITH A 3 GAMES TO 1 VICTORY LAST NIGHT AT THE PATTY CENTER. THE LOSS STOPS THE UAA WINNING STREAK AT 4. KAYLA MC GLATHERY CONTRIBUTED 10 KILLS FOR UAA, BUT THE SEAWOLVES COMMITTED 15 SERVICE ERRORS TO AID THE UAF CAUSE. THE SEAWOLVES, 7-4 OVERALL, 2-1 IN THE GREAT NORTHWEST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE, NOW RETURN HOME FOR A MATCH AGAINST MONTANA STATE-BILLINGS SATURDAY AT THE ALASKA AIRLINES CENTER. FIRST SERVE IS SCHEDULED FOR 7:00.
