UAA women kick off GNAC schedule on the road

AFTER GOING UNDEFEATED AT 6-0 IN NON-CONFERENCE PLAY, THE NUMBER 4 RANKED UAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM GETS THEIR FIRST TWO BIG CHALLENGES OF THE GREAT NORTHWEST ATHLETIC CONFERENCE SEASON STARTING TONIGHT. UAA IS ON THE ROAD, PLAYING IN ELLENSBURG AGAINST CENTRAL WASHINGTON. THE WILDCATS ARE ALSO UNBEATEN AT 5-0, DEFEATING ALL FIVE OF THEIR OPPONENTS BY 20 OR MORE POINTS. GAME TIME IS 6:00 ALASKA TIME. THE SEAWOLVES THEN TRAVEL TO NAMPA, IDAHO FOR A SATURDAY NIGHT BATTLE WITH 15TH RANKED AND ALSO UNDEFEATED NORTHWEST NAZARENE.

UAA’S LEADING SCORER AND REBOUNDER IS HANNA WANDERSEE, WHO WAS NAMED THE GNAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK MONDAY.

THE SEAWOLVES, HOWEVER, WILL BE WITHOUT STARTING GUARD YAZMEEN GOO…SHE’S OUT FOR SEVERAL GAMES WITH A HAND INJURY.
