UAA Womens Hoops wins again in Oregon; UAA downhillers look good at Alyeska

TWO WINS IN A ROW FOR UAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL AS THEY TOOK DOWN NAIA WARNER PACIFIC 93-76 YESTERDAY IN PORTLAND.

SOPHOMORE GUARD RACHEL INGRAM POPPED IN A CAREER-HIGH 26 POINTS, SHOOTING 8 FOR 11 FROM BEYOND THE ARC. THE THREE-POINTER WAS KIND TO THE SEAWOLVES, AS THEY TIED A TEAM RECORD WITH 16 FOR THE GAME. SUPPORTING INGRAM ON THE SCORESHEET WAS STEPHANIE JACKSON WITH 15 POINTS AND SALA LANGI WITH 10.

GABRIELLA BRUNO LED WARNER PACIFIC WITH 23 POINTS.

UAA HAS TWO MORE GAMES SCHEDULED THIS SPRING, COMING UP APRIL 16TH AND 17 AT SOUTHERN OREGON.

 

THE UAA WOMEN WERE DOMINANT IN MONDAY AND TUESDAY’S WESTERN REGION F-I-S DOWNHILL TECH SERIES AT ALYESKA. ALL-AMERICAN REBECCA FIEGL WON BOTH SLALOM RACES MONDAY, AND ONE OF TWO GIANT SLALOM’S TUESDAY. THE OTHER GS WINNER WAS FIEGL’S TEAMMATE LI DJURESTAAL. UAA SKIERS WON 10 OF 12 PODIUMS DURING THE TWO-DAY COMPETITION. ALYESKA SKI CLUB U-19 SKIER RANDI VON WICHMAN GOT THE OTHER TWO.
